Due to continued technical difficulties with this site, I have created a set of forums for guild use at this location.
Unfortunately, everyone will need to re-register at the new location to be able to use the forums - I'm asking that everyone please register using their TDS main toon name, so we can keep track of who's who.
Hope to see you all there!

TDS Clears Palace of Roehn Theer

Today we broke with the usual tradition of spending just 90 minutes learning an encounter and stayed on Roehn Theer for the whole raid - basically because it is such a fun fight to learn and progress.
No surprise then that SOE sacked the person who designed it...
It took the full three and a half hours and for the last pull we were boosted by the late arrivals of Side and Malyce but the earlier perseverence paid off and we took down Roehn Theer 1-Rune for the first time.
When the Sentinel's Fate expansion was first launched I aspired to us reaching the end of standard content by September. As usual, you guys have exceeded expectations, thank you very much.

A breakthrough today as after 90 minutes of really good progress we finally overcame the Three Sages - Mandoril, Medorius & Mikla for the first time ever.
Some great work by the Flashpot curers and the usual top class performance by the healers in addition to Goldenpaw's fantastic marshalling of the raid and co-ordinating the heroic opportunities.
We are now up to Roehn Theer, final boss in Palace and second to last easy mode boss for TDS...
Well done everybody, more detailed information will be posted at the Wimpy Dirge shortly.

Perah'Celsis fails to charm TDS

On Saturday evening / Sunday morning we wrapped up a good win over Perah'Celsis after an estimated 4-6 hours of accumulated practice.
The whole raid did a great job of paying attention and we covered the pedestals really well after every teleport. Kudos also to the healers for looking after Poly's group whenever she was charmed and everybody's good discipline in staying away from the AoEs.
The key word for this encounter is redundancy, you need to have a back-up for every role in the raid to mitigate the charm, hopefully we can now work on moving this mob towards farm status.
This win means that we have reached the end of two Sentinel's Fate raid instances, although we still need to get that crab before starting on the challenge mode fights.

Palace of Roehn Theer - progress

After taking down two new bosses in Perah'Celsis Abominable Laboratory last week the TDS juggernaut turned its attention on The Palace of Roehn Theer.
It took just three pulls to conquer Iilsaad's Barrier after going close last time around and only three pulls in total to overcome Maalus Shadowfyre.
Only The Scavanator, Perah'Celsis, Three Sages and Roehn Theer stand between us and clearing all Sentinel's Fate instanced raid content in normal mode.
Read all about it at The Wimpy Dirge.

Once again, 12 brave souls donned their best armor and ventured into the depths of Vigilant: Final Destruction. This time they were armed with 2 new weapons: a shammie and someone who had seen the dogs dead. After our customary wipe on the first trash pull, we quickly made our way to another flawless victory on Thanaraax. Then it was time for the dogs. We listened to a new strategy and decided it sounded worth a try. Our first attempt resulted in the first dog down to about 28 percent. On our second attempt, Zecc's gnome, couldn't run fast enough to heal, so he died before he could round up the three dogs. Then it was time. Death prevent, good pull, steady dps, strong healing, and 4 minutes later the first of the 3 dogs were dead. We had it, we knew it, we finished them off. No one remembers the loot, we remember the win!!!
We progressed in and had a hard time with Melagrognan—the mem wipe followed by a stun was a tough one to get our hands around, but we did. It was particularly satisfying after getting him to 1 percent and wiping on a bad mem wipe. Even after 2 ½ hours, everyone was ready to go see the next named, High Marcus Alaric. We had some issues with the curses occurring on key people right about the time the pillar was put up, but now that we understand the encounter, he will be toast.
We march on.
