On our first clearing of Veeshan’s Peak, Qiqok led The Dying Sun to 29 Mythical Quest Rewards. From all of us, a sincere "Thanks. We couldn't have done it without you!"

This was Glad's 100^th raid with The Dying Sun.

The Dying Sun pushed deeper into Veeshan's Peak and claimed 16 mythical weapons in emphatic fashion.

Milyex Vioren was vanquished on the 3rd pull after a nervy start and a couple of refinements.
Then it was onto Taskmaster Nichok to do the mythical hokey pokey - and on the 3rd pull we got into the groove and danced to victory (although it did take 22 minutes)...and that was the last mob that wiped us.

A fantastic effort by everybody involved...well done.

Let it be known that The Dying Sun has breached Veeshan’s Peak and added Eight Mythical Heroes to our ranks. On our 97^th overall try, we achieved our first Nexona kill with the help of a few friends (Daeth, Avindra, Neomage, Richard and Fengor). This night it would only take 2 pulls to vanquish Nexona, our latest arch-nemesis. The cries of joy were deafening. Our necromancers, Chulo and Blackpearl, received their long awaited and hard fought mythical weapons. May your putrescent corpse pets sally forth victoriously!

On the next day, we faced our toughest enemy yet - the Dreaded SOE Lag Dragon! After a heartbreaking fight in which Druushk recovered from 1% to wipe the raid, the Lag Dragon was let loose. The Dying Sun was determined. Shrugging off lagspike after lagspike, the heart-stopping, nail-biting, epic struggle ended with Druushk slain. Veeshan's Peak First Wing was cleared. Dweomerr was rewarded with his mythical. May your waggling fingers never tire!

Now the 2^nd Wing seal is broken for the first time. Onward we cleared almost all of the trash pentrating deeply to a high payoff target .... the Slumbering Xygoz. After a few minor mishaps, our most successful weekend of raiding was capped by a perfect Xygoz kill that netted mythicals for Midnightstar, Goldentale, Maejo, Rodge and Scarletto. Let your swarthy gaits swagger and your anthems ring out!

As these Legendary Eight join Mortyr, Laments, Teloth, Korvinus and Kraus as TDS Mythical Bearers, this weekend is marked as the most highly anticipated and successful raids in The Dying Sun's history .

We will clear Wings 2 and 3 of the open zone next weekend. Norrathian’s Take Note: The Dying Sun will soon place Veeshan’s Peak on farm status!

This was Xmarok's 100^th raid with The Dying Sun.

Earlier today TDS added Nexona to the honour board after taking her down on the second pull.

With the assistance of some friends in high places we added enough DPS to our raid to comfortably keep 25K DPS on Nexona and stay ahead of the annoying adds.

At 45% Miken & Glad stepped up and locked down the 5 undead drakes without incident. At 10% Goldentale started counting down which nearly sent Aainu over the edge.

A big thank you to everyone who helped to organise some extra help and I would also like to recognise the folks who signed-in to help even though they did not end up getting a spot.

After all the preparation, discussion and hype it took a mere four attempts to dispense with Druushk and earn the first mythical weapon updates on a TDS raid.

It wasn't the fear, or the damage shield that gave us the biggest headache but instead the little discussed subject of keeping the statue clickers alive...

On attempt No.3 we had the mob to 27% when Q tried to get a heal and left a statue unattended with disastrous consequences. Then Aunty Aainu popped up with her mobile chemistry lab and manufactured us some cures which proved to be the difference between success and failure.

The MT group held up fantastically well and Eledhel and the remaining healers were comfortably on top of all the adds that spawned.
