Trakanon Vanquished, Mad Crusader cleared

This weekend TDS finally closed the book on RoK instanced content by getting enough flagged people online for a successful take-down of Trakanon. After a horrendous zone-in we setup at the orb and beat him on the second pull.
It was a very close thing when we were hit by the issue that prevents a person seeing the hour-glass detrimental when they are pinged for the second time. There was less than 5 seconds on the Static Repulsion countdown when Trakanon died.
To top it all, he didn’t drop the shield.
We also cleared our first TSO raid instance this weekend, with wins over Xebnok the Wretched and Gynok Moltor. Xebnok was taken down on the first pull with minimal fuss and Gynok required about an hour for everybody to get comfortable with the encounter. Congratulations to Korvinus & Sullivan as the inaugural winners of T4 Boots & Legs.
In other news, we also scored a first pull win against Xaxia Viralus in Miragul’s Planar Shard to complete a bonanza raiding weekend.

Guild Hall - Wizard Portal

The TDS guild hall now has the Wizard Portal amenity, it is currently located on the opposite side of the front courtyard from the druid rings, in amongst the bedouin tents and palm trees.
Feel free to use at your discretion.
TDS capped a great weekend of raiding by adding another new boss to the honour board. This time it was the turn of Glaciactus, the giant ice golem in MPS to feel our wrath.
We were assisted by having possession of the Icy Cold Shard, which drew the sting from the big AoE and also by Q eventually figuring out how to place the Spirit Trap (for future reference you need to jump up on the dias before it becomes active).
Therefore, with no adds and a gimped AoE, Glaciactus was pretty much reduced to the effectiveness of a giant snow-cone and we melted him down in about 4.5 minutes.
Another T4 Glove pattern added to our repetoire and a very nice stabby stabber which Scarletto snaffled up.

Kultak the Cruel dispatched, Rwznak & Co follow soon after

After a few months of spending some time trying to make some progress on Kultak, it all came together today as we dispensed with him on the 2nd pull.
Great work by our mages for finding the right balance of gear to handle the AoE damage and especially our awesome healers for a superb job on the curses.
We lost a few people when Frenzied Slice popped early before folks had jousted but otherwise a very impressive performance.
In other news, we trotted off to take a first look at Munzok's Material Bastion and after about 45 minutes grabbed our first scalp, downing Rwznak, Iztak, Omzuk & Nynzok for another guild first.
